Today, the West Basin Municipal Water District presented a proclamation to Gardena Police Department Captain of Support Services Todd Fox in honor of National Night Out. Observed annually on the first Tuesday of August, National Night Out provides a great opportunity to bring law enforcement agencies, civic groups, organizations and neighborhoods under positive circumstances. West Basin looks forward to joining the various National Night Outs next month to build community with our neighborhoods and local police departments while sharing information about water use efficiency. West Basin is accepting proposals from qualified bidders to submit quotations for Sludge Handling Welded Steel Tanks. The District intends to replace two 21,000 gallon, welded-steel sludge conditioning tanks at the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility. The main topic of discussion for the forum was "Water as an Economic Engine" where water industry leaders met to share knowledge and discuss the future of maintaining reliable water for all. West Basin's mission to provide a safe and reliable supply of water to our communities would not be possible without the support of community leaders and organizers.
