❓Can technology transform treatment for lower back pain? 🤕According to the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, 85% of Americans experience back pain. Finding the appropriate treatment for lower back pain can be difficult, expensive, and time-consuming. ✨At Wearable X, we’ve been studying how Nadi X can help reduce lower back pain. We believe technology-enabled tools can potentially add value in the future of recovery tools for lower back pain: - Understand your body’s kinematics using technology - Build strength in your slow twitch muscles (aka measure movement beyond the wrist) - Bring yoga into your exercise routine In the future, we believe that AI will play a role in recovery from lower back pain as well. Would you use AI for: ⭐Real-Time Pain Monitoring & Feedback? AI-driven wearables and apps that track posture, movements, and pain levels, provide corrective feedback and identify triggers. ⭐Virtual Health Assistants? AI-based assistants that would offer guidance on exercises, self-care tips, and lifestyle changes, while also answering questions and sending reminders for treatments. ⭐Predicting and Preventing Future Pain? Machine learning models can predict the likelihood of future episodes of lower back pain based on a person’s current habits, allowing for early interventions to prevent pain from becoming chronic. ❤️🩹Ultimately, AI can not replace the need for healthcare professionals but can be utilized as a tool for better treatment. What are your predictions for future AI support for lower back pain?👇 ❗Click here to follow us on socials: https://lnkd.in/djw5aFUd ♻️ Repost if you found this insightful.

Do you struggle with waking up in the morning? We at Wearable X are interested in how yoga impacts your sleep. Neha Gothe, the director of the Exercise Psychology Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign says that yoga can help “to wake up your body and get it ready for the day,” and that “the right poses can stretch the major muscle groups and warm up the joints, while slow breathing promotes focus and can reduce stress and anxiety.” Here are the yoga poses that The New York Times recommends to help start your day: Cat-cow Pose Child’s Pose Mountain Pose In a recent pilot study that was presented and published through ACRM with Spectrum Ergonomics, we found that those who practiced Chair Pose with Nadi X 3 times per day for 4 weeks saw a 43% average increase in range of motion. Last week at the WT Conference Wearable Technologies AG, Wearable X and Billie Whitehouse shared a vision of what the future looks like for sports & fitness as we move from iot 1.0 to 3.0. We presented the difference between the AI System’s version of the future for sports and fitness vs our own. 🤖 AI version of the future of sports & fitness: - Measuring movement from both wrists - Sharing biometric data freely - A version of the future with cyborg realism 🙋 What we believe is the future of sports & fitness: - More precise measurements (aka wearables beyond the wrist) - Design that has technology invisibly integrated - Multimodal data fusion with foundation models ⭐ Remember! - Don’t let the technology come before the human experience (aka human-centric design) - Design for touch in a digital age - Design for all 5 senses - Allow for complexity & humor - Design for discovery Would you add anything to this list?👇 ❗Click here to follow us on socials: https://lnkd.in/djw5aFUd ❗Click here to follow Billie Whitehouse: https://lnkd.in/dr2tbx8m

    CEO at Wearable X

I have often preached about supporting small & emerging business, mostly because your dollars mean a lot more for these founders. Better yet supporting your friends during the gifting season! This year I am particularly interested in healthy practices & clean products. Products like 🍔🌊 Courtney Boyd Myers (CBM)'s AKUA PBC 🍔 🌊 , which is stunningly in over 1000 retail stores like Erewhon. If I was in the US over the holidays, I would be making my stuffing with the AKUA PBC 🍔 🌊 kelp mince. So to practice what I preach see our Gift Guide for your friends & family who pay attention to what is in the products they use and who care about how they treat their body. I'm absolutely captivated by the vision of Billie Whitehouse , the CEO of Wearable X. She believes that technology should enchant our objects, not overpower them. It's a refreshing perspective in a world where technology often takes the front seat. 🧘♀️ Billie's approach starts with the human experience, emphasizing how technology can seamlessly integrate into our lives. Take NADI X, for example. These tech-enabled yoga pants help you achieve those challenging poses with precision and grace. 🧥 Or consider the NAVIGATE Jacket, designed to guide you to your destination using integrated LED lighting and haptic feedback – all without the need to constantly glance at your screen. 🚀 These innovations are just the beginning of a revolution in the intersection of technology and fashion. They remind us that technology should enhance our lives, making them more enjoyable and efficient. Billie Whitehouse and Wearable X are leading the charge, and it's exciting to see what the future holds in this dynamic space.
