It was a fantastic day to celebrate Louis Dreyfus Company's groundbreaking on its state-of-the-art soy processing facility in Wyandot County. The positive impacts will be long felt locally and across the state of Ohio. A special thank you to our vast team of public and private partners that made it possible, and to the many that joined the celebration today.
This new Louis Dreyfus Company facility is huge for our state's overall value supply chain! Ohio's soybean story is significant. We're fifth in the nation for soybean production (26,000 farmers), soybean oil goes into a lot of food being produced here (like salad dressings from T. Marzetti Company), and soybean meal is heavily used in our animal/livestock feed production.
