Happy National Intern Day! This summer, Wayne-Sanderson Farms is proud to have been joined by our 2024 intern cohort for a 12-week, project-based program. Throughout the summer, interns have learned from our team through an operations focused, hands on opportunity to gain experience in the poultry industry. As a main focus of the program, interns have worked hard to complete individualized projects within their area of interest, attend development events, programming and workshops, all while receiving mentorship and career development from company leaders. Our interns' hard work, creativity, and passion have been truly inspiring and we are excited for the future of the industry. Thank you, interns, for your contributions to #MakingChickenAmazing this summer!

As part of the company’s Amazing Starts With Me program, team members from Wayne-Sanderson Farms’ Dobson, North Carolina complex supported their local community by recently hosting events with two senior centers, Dunmore Plantation, LLC Adult Care facility and Colonial Care Home. Our team members crafted and donated artwork for the residents, and to make the day even sweeter, the company sponsored an ice cream truck visit, providing a tasty treat for everyone to enjoy while fostering meaningful connections with the residents! Wayne-Sanderson Farms is proud to support the communities where we operate. #MakingChickenAmazing

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is proud of David Vargas, our very own Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems Analyst, for having his scientific research published! David’s goal is to support and empower other researchers as they navigate the critical study of food safety. “During graduate school, I experienced how graduate students usually struggle with statistics and interpretation of results related to food safety,” said David. “That is why we decided to develop a review paper for researchers who are beginning to navigate these sciences, that provides simple guidance on statistical analysis, data visualization, and results interpretation.” To read the full article, click here: https://lnkd.in/eFmYWgYn. #MakingChickenAmazing
