We are back in Lombok, Indonesia, completing our 17th clean water project. We implemented 130 filtration systems in villages where the water is contaminated and unsafe to drink. Thanks to the Project Pargo community for supporting our efforts and helping bring clean water and happiness to these communities. #WaterCrisis #WavesForWater #WaterForLife #SafeWater #PeopleHelpingPeople

About us
Waves For Water works on the front lines to provide access to clean water through the implementation of portable water filters, the construction and renovation of bore-hole wells, and the construction of rainwater harvesting and storage systems–in places where groundwater is not accessible. At the center of all these efforts is empowerment. Supported by our belief in developing and empowering local networks, we always implement our programs through the local teams of volunteers and community leaders, that we cultivate in the beginning stages of any project. This process enables us to connect with a community on a deeper level, by establishing trust and rapport, over time–which ultimately ensures the highest potential for a truly sustainable program. Waves For Water has implemented programs in 48 countries, with active programs in 23. They have responded to 33 disasters globally, implementing over 155 clean water programs globally - using water filtration systems (150,000), bore-hole wells, and rainwater harvesting systems. Since 2009 Waves For Water has impacted over 3,750,000 people.

Our W4W Volunteers recently completed a project in Brgy. Sto. Niño, San Felipe, Zambales on February 23, 2024. We implemented 30 water filters and installed 11 hand washing units, impacting 756 individuals. The fact that only 30 water filters and 11 hand washing units have impacted 756 individuals is a strong use-case as to how even just one filter can drive significant change in communities. Thank you for your support in bringing clean water and improved hygiene to this community. Want to make a difference? Join us as a volunteer or donate. Even a small donation, can drive real change. https://lnkd.in/exGiSUtN #WavesForWater #CleanWaterForAll #WaterIsAHumanRight #VolunteerTravel #PeopleHelpingPeople

In many places we work, kids can’t attend school because they’re out sick from waterborne illnesses. It’s a sobering reality. But with a simple water filtration system, this can drastically change. It’s not magic, it’s just technology. With your donation, you can actively play a role in changing the trajectory of entire communities. Donate now. #WavesForWater #WaterIsAHumanRight

On June 5th, our W4W team brought filters to some riverside families and fishermen in Porto Alegre, Brazil, with invaluable support from the Federal Police. Meet Rosemary, who lives with her husband Jeremias. Despite being affected by the floods, Rosemary continues to help others, traveling back and forth from Porto Alegre to assist anyone needing a boat. These filters are crucial. Your support helps us reach more areas like these. Link in bio to donate. 💧 #CleanWaterForAll #JoinTheRevolution #SustainableImpact
