WateReuse California (WRCA) applauds the State Water Resources Control Board for the recent revisions to the regulations -- Making Conservation a California Way of Life. The new draft strikes an appropriate balance between using recycled water and potable reuse supplies efficiently and protecting and encouraging their further development in California. WRCA has been engaged with the development of these regulations since the passage of the authorizing legislation in 2018. We commend the State Board and Department of Water Resources for conducting extensive stakeholder outreach, which has resulted in a regulatory package that will help the state adapt to the challenges of climate change.
