The Wastewater Infrastructure Pollution Prevention and Environmental Safety Act (WIPPES Act) passed in the House, but we need your help to make sure it passes in the Senate! Wipes are often marketed as flushable, but they are not. Frequently these products are composed of synthetic, plastic materials that are not compatible with our #sewersystems and #infrastructure. Ask your Senators to co-sponsor and support the WIPPES Act today! ⬇️ #WEFWaterAdvocates #waterpolicy #advocacy

Early circular #water principles can be found in indigenous practices that embraced a respectful approach to water and to nature as a whole. It was a pleasure to hear Travis Numan from University of Nevada-Reno speak this morning at the #CWESummit! We also watched clips from the new Brave Blue World Foundation documentary, "Our Blue World: A Water Odyssey," which celebrates our connection to water and explores its cultural significance in communities around the world. WEF is proud to be a partner on this impactful project. Panel participants: - WEF Executive Director Ralph Exton - WEF President Aimee’ Killeen - Founding Director, Institute of Ecotechnics Mark Nelson - EVP of Food and Water Waste at XPRIZE Lauren Greenlee

We're thrilled to announce that Elizabeth (Liz) Fazio Hale from Gulf Coast Authority will be the closing keynote speaker next week at WEF's Circular Water Economy Summit! During her time at GCA, Liz and her team have tackled strategic planning, implementation, and major master planning for #infrastructure while continuing to treat approximately 50 MGD of #wastewater for primarily industrial users at facilities across Texas. As a member of the legislature from 2001-2015, Liz was instrumental in prioritizing the enactment of several financial, legal, environmental, #conservation, and special district policy measures. There's still time to join us in Dallas! Read more about the speakers and register today: https://ow.ly/m7SR50SzLBK #CWESummit #circularwatereconomy #conference
