We would like to recognize Michelle Langhorne, Operations Manager at Arrowhead Landfill in Uniontown, Alabama. "Michelle has the unique role of managing the rail operations at our Alabama landfill, which receives solid waste from our East Coast operations. Michelle has been instrumental in increasing the volume capacity while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment for her team. Her knowledge, dedication and hard work are appreciated by her team and her partners on the landfill working face. She seems to be everywhere at once, from the scales to the office to the yard. This is no easy task with the constant, fast-paced work that happens at this site." Thanks for championing your team and continuously improving your site, Michelle.

There's no greater satisfaction than knowing we've brought a little bit of joy into the lives of others. Our exceptional team in The Woodlands, Texas, recently made their way to the Tamina community, where we banded together to build a fence line for their inspiring outreach program. We feel incredibly blessed to have been chosen to be part of this incredible endeavor. Well done, team! #tamina #wasteconnectionscares #wcncares #morethantrash

We would like to congratulate Yvannia Amabao, from Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, for being recognized as our next Woman of Waste. Her coworker nominated her, saying, "Yvannie Amabao has been with Waste Connections for 16 years. It is such a cliché to say that Yvannie is the glue that keeps Red Deer running, but she truly is and much more. Yvannie has won many awards, partially because she is so good at her role but mostly because she is a lovely person who cares about her drivers and customers personally. Yvannie’s sunny disposition has a way of rubbing off on those around her. Yvannie is appreciated way more than we could ever show her." Thank you, Yvannie!

Last Friday, our Woodlands, Texas, team partnered with Interfaith of the Woodlands to provide 700 individuals with food and water. This disaster relief is one of the many ways we are trying to give back to the community that has been affected by Hurricane Beryl. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped!
