We were honored this week to host a visiting delegation of leaders from Kenya to share ideas and best practices on expanding access to financial services. It's incredible to unite with people from across the globe to advance financial inclusion.

It’s against this background that the ACCOSCA is aggressively stepping up its efforts in midwifing global platforms that allow credit union professionals in Africa to foster effective and inclusive capacity building to accelerate financial inclusion in their local communities. As our July Learn and Share Initiative in Seattle – USA gets on its penultimate phase, Washington State Employees Credit Union (WSECU) opened its doors to our participants for a full-day high-level engagement. This is a member-powered credit union that has been providing unparalleled financial service to locals in Washington since 1957. Hosted by Gary Swindler, President and CEO of WSECU, participants cultivated various insights on critical topics including data management, board & management roles, and also credit union mergers & acquisitions. Credit unions have served as a financial backbone to millions of households in Africa for decades. As ACCOSCA, it is our single most intention to continue creating global network linkages that will not only enable people living in Africa to access financial services but also benefit from professionally run credit unions. #PeopleHelpingPeople || www.accosca.org || WSECU || KUSCCO - Kenya Union of Savings & Credit Co-operatives Ltd. || Kenya National Police DT SACCO || Co-operative Bank of Kenya || Stima Sacco Society Ltd
