About us

Kristin M. Walker is an independent branding consultant with over 18 years of experience in integrated corporate communications and brand strategy. She currently puts her talents to work for the Akima portfolio of companies and serves as a SME and content author/instructor for Freedom Learning Group, America's leading provider of educational content and services for the Higher Ed community. Her career in corporate communications began as a Media Planner on the L’Oreal Paris account at McCann Worldgroup's global headquarters in New York, NY. McCann is one of the world's leading global marketing services companies with offices in over 120 countries worldwide. Upon leaving McCann, Kristin took her talents to The Cirlot Agency serving as the firm's Media Director and eventually, VP of Brand Strategy, working with both domestic and international corporations including Northrop Grumman, Bell Helicopter, ATK, Elbit Systems of America, among others. Kristin was also fortunate to work with The Cirlot Agency and the University of Mississippi on strategic planning and public relations efforts for the first of the 2008 presidential debates between then-Republican nominee, Senator John McCain of Arizona, and the Democratic nominee, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois. As an Active-duty Military Spouse and former Command Spouse of the 16WPS at the prestigious U.S. Air Force Weapons School, Kristin highly values efforts that support our military families and places a high emphasis on continuing education. She holds an M.B.A. from Northeastern University with a specialization in International Business/Marketing and a B.A. in Communication & Information Sciences from the University of Alabama. Most recently, Kristin completed a Spouse Certificate in National Security from the National War College and in recent years, has completed courses in both U.S. Politics and International Relations from Princeton University's Community and Regional Affairs program.
