WR will be attending the Fleet Maintenance and Modernization Symposium (FMMS) September 17-19 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. The American Society of Naval Engineers’ (ASNE) FMMS allows for an open forum of communications and exchange of technical information on ship maintenance and modernization and seeks to engage everyone who has a stake in building, repairing, sailing, innovating, updating, training, fighting, and winning on or from the sea on a U.S. or allied military vessel. The FMMS 2024 agenda includes senior military keynotes, industry speakers, informative panels, Innovation Theater speakers, technical paper presentations, and professional development courses, providing a unique opportunity to interact with senior military and civil service decision makers, ship and craft operators and maintainers, repair and maintenance personnel, designers, builders, planners, engineers, program managers, life cycle engineers, equipment suppliers and other technical experts. We hope to see you there! #FMMS #Symposium #FleetMaintenance

WR was honored to be a part of the Navigation Advanced Waterfront Training using NIWC Atlantic’s Mobile Training Lab (MTL) at the Joint Expeditionary Base in Little Creek, Virginia. WR had over 16 different employees work hard to transform the MTL into its current configuration as a newly renovated, fully-populated Mobile Training Lab that mimics a submarine navigation suite. The MTL allows fleet Sailors to do hands-on training on equipment, including active troubleshooting and fault isolation. WR also had 4 different subject matter experts who conducted classroom training on navigation systems (system overview, basic operation, troubleshooting, maintenance) and then performed detailed hands-on training for each attendee using the equipment in the MTL. Overall, more than 70 Sailors from 10 submarine commands were trained over a one-week period.
