Exciting Detroit news! The first hotel connected to Detroit's convention center in the city’s history is being developed on the former Joe Louis Arena site. 📣🏨 The 4-star JW Marriott Detroit Water Square will be 25 stories, 600 rooms, and be connected to Huntington Place with a skybridge. It will also feature 50,000 square feet of meeting space, restaurants, a lobby bar, a market, and more right off Detroit's international and award-winning Riverfront. The property reflects the accelerating strength of Detroit to attract premier meetings and conventions. A connected hotel is a critical component that will boost Huntington Place's opportunity to host more, and larger conventions and major events! 🙌 It also elevates the status of Huntington Place nationally and joins the convention-style hotels present in cities like Chicago, Minneapolis, Cleveland, and others. Hotel construction began in early April 2024 and is expected to be completed by early 2027, in time for the Men’s NCAA Final Four tournament in Detroit in March of that year. 🏀 Read more about the hotel here! ➡️ https://bit.ly/4fhtJQ2
