Hosting a piece of the NCAA championships is always a treasure for a destination - but today is a special one here in City of Huntsville, AL as we were awarded our first TWO national championship events as we will host the Division II cross country final and Division II men's & women's soccer finals in 2027! Our sports tourism team (Huntsville Sports Commission, Visit Huntsville, Parks & Recreation, The University of Alabama in Huntsville, Jacksonville State University, Downtown Huntsville, Inc., Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, Huntsville City FC, Huntsville Hospital, TOC- The Orthopaedic Center) continues to work together to elevate our community on the national stage with these special opportunities to crown a national champion in our city. Today is a special day as we continue to further our relationship with the NCAA - securing four straight years with a piece of the championship program and five of the last six years. I can't thank everyone enough for their help and support in making this possible. It's an exciting time to be in Huntsville and being awarded not just the nationals, but the regionals as well, continues that momentum. Put these events in your notes to come out and take in a piece of a national championship in the next few years: 2024 - Division II Cross Country Regionals 2025 - Division I Cross Country Regionals 2026 - Division I Women's Golf Regionals 2026 - Division II Cross Country Regionals 2027 - Division I Cross Country Regionals 2027 - Division II Cross Country Finals 2027 - Division II Men's & Women's Soccer Championships

This past week, Jamie Koshofer, Vice President of Conventions, and Misty Williams, Convention Sales Manager with the Visit Huntsville team, traveled to Milwaukee for the Connect Marketplace Show! While there, they were able to conduct one-on-one appointments with meeting planners, with Jamie handling the corporate track market and Misty handling the association track market. Both of them were able to see a combined number of about 60 meeting planners in total! We are proud of the strides our team members are constantly making in assisting to bring more meetings to the Huntsville/Madison area! 🎉
