We are thrilled to announce Vinfen has ranked 40th in the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts for 2024. The list was created by nonprofit The Women's Edge and is published annually in the Women & Power issue of Globe Magazine. The Women’s Edge examined 2023 revenue or operating budget as well as other variables, including number of full-time employees in the state, workplace and management diversity, and innovative projects in order to determine the list for 2024. President and CEO Jean Yang attended a breakfast honoring the Top 100 women-led businesses last week with other women in leadership from Vinfen. We are proud to be honored among so many other women-led organizations and impactful leaders who are creating a wide range of opportunities for our workforce and generating billions of dollars in revenue – a true force in driving the Commonwealth’s economy.

We love seeing leadership recognize the hard work and commitment of our staff. Our Boston Cluster program directors organized a staff appreciation barbecue last month to express gratitude for their teams, acknowledging their outstanding efforts in making a positive impact in the lives of the people we serve. In addition to the barbecue, there were raffles where staff had the chance to win gift cards, Vinfen T-shirts, and beautifully crafted gift baskets. Director of Service Asela Jayasinghe was also honored with a memorable gift from the Boston Cluster directors for his exceptional leadership. The barbecue was a celebration of everyone’s efforts in making a difference together. We are so thankful for what you do every day at Vinfen!

Director of Government Relations and External Affairs Sophie Hansen recently published this op-ed about the significance of inclusion at the polls. Ms. Hansen shared, “When individuals with disabilities exercise their right to vote, they help elect leaders who prioritize these critical issues, fostering policies that better reflect the needs and diversity of the population.” At Vinfen, we are committed to empowering people to let their voices be heard, to understand their rights as a voter, and to educate themselves on topics that are important to them as they prepare to cast their vote. Democracy is for everyone. Read more from Ms. Hansen here: https://bit.ly/4f5mPfS

This week, we're celebrating Human Resources Manager Quiana Philogene for All Star Friday! Quiana recently stepped in to help a co-worker who was experiencing a medical emergency. She remained calm under pressure, ensured her teammate was safe, and calmly waited for assistance. Sometimes unexpected moments happen, and we are so proud of Quiana’s willingness and assertiveness to ensure her colleague was able to get the help that was needed. Thank you, Quiana – you make Vinfen a better place! Want to work on a team with All Stars like Quiana? See the opportunities we have waiting for you: https://lnkd.in/e922ney
