#TrafficResults Almost 81 million passengers travelled through airports in the VINCI Airports network in Q2, rising 8.2% compared to 2023 (1.8% higher than in 2019). After April figures slightly lower than the 2019 level, passenger traffic rebounded in May and June, outpacing 2019 levels. This very good Q2 performance is due in particular to sustained traffic growth in the network’s European airports. Traffic volumes also rose appreciably at Edinburgh and Budapest, the two airports that joined our network in June. Elsewhere, trends in traffic remained very brisk, mostly thanks to international routes. Learn more in our press release: https://lnkd.in/e_i-z-a6

Very pleased to have been in Hungary since yesterday to present our flight plan to develop Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, the country's key entry point for air mobility, and to meet the airport’s teams. As the new platform operator, VINCI Airports and the airport’s management represented by François Bérisot, have taken immediate actions to improve the customer experience and support traffic growth through appropriate investment. In addition, the plan we’ve developed together with our partner Corvinus, notably includes the construction of the Terminal 3 and the rehabilitation of Terminal 2 to increase passenger numbers from 15 million to 25 million pax. Exciting time ahead for Budapest Airport and the teams to further open the country to the world, support its economic development and to offer a quality of service at the forefront of European standards! #BudapestAirport #BUD #VINCIAirports

Congratulations to Aéroport International de Toulon Hyères, winner of the 2024 ACI EUROPE 'Best Airport Award' in the category Eco-Innovation. Following London Gatwick awarded in 2023, the French airport was commended for its proactive and voluntary approach to eco-innovation. Toulon Hyères has indeed reduced its direct emissions by 92.5% from 2018 to 2022, notably by improving energy efficiency, replacing standard lightbulbs with LEDs, installing heat pumps, switching to electric runway vehicles and sourcing certified renewable energy. Click below to find out more about the numerous actions and measures implemented over the past few years, as part of VINCI Airports' environmental policy aiming achieving net zero direct carbon emissions by 2030 for all airports operated in the EU and London Gatwick. In addition, Toulon Hyères airport is committed to strengthen its actions on scope 3 through a roadmap that prioritizes actions reducing emissions of its third parties (SAF, renewable energy, ecomodulation airlines, etc). Thanks to this commitment and outstanding environmental performance, the airport is the first in France and among the first in the world along with three other from VINCI Airports’ network (Beja, Ponta Delgada and Madeira in Portugal), to have reached ACA Level 5, the highest and latest level of the Airport Carbon Accreditation program. https://lnkd.in/ebdFBrqy #ACI2024IST #BestAirport #TLN #ToulonHyères #VINCIAirports #PositiveMobility

We are very enthusiastic at VINCI Airports to start operating Edinburgh Airport with your great and experienced teams. Thank you for your warm welcome during those 2 days. Let’s start our new exciting journey together!
🛫 | It's been a busy first few days as an official VINCI Airports. We welcomed Nicolas Notebaert and the Executive team to Edinburgh following final confirmation of the firm's acquisition of Edinburgh Airport. They spent time with teams across the airport to explain VINCI's story and vision and where Edinburgh fits in to that, while also talking about the growth and operation at Edinburgh - it's been a great start to our VINCI future. It's also been important to discuss these future plans with our people and the media - a lot to do in just two days! By bringing together the knowledge and expertise of both VINCI Airports and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), two of the world’s most respected airport investors and operators, it's a significant vote of confidence in Scotland, and the future of its capital city airport. #edinburgh #edinburghairport #scotland #vinciairports #vinciconcessions #GIP #aviation #connectivity #airports

Welcome to our new Scottish colleagues! VINCI Airports has finalised the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Edinburgh Airport, alongside Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) under a model similar as London Gatwick Airport. Edinburgh Airport is a premier infrastructure asset: the largest airport in Scotland and the 6th airport in the United Kingdom with traffic back to pre-Covid levels. Its growth potential is being driven in particular by the development of long-distance segments. After Belfast International Airport International and London Gatwick, VINCI Airports now owns three freehold airports in the United Kingdom.
