NUSPSC is an intensive 10-week program that helps prepare experienced law enforcement professionals for success in senior command positions. The 10-week course focuses on critical command-level content such as planning and policies, media relations, organizational behavior, budgeting, resource allocation, human resources and contemporary policing through a combination of academic principles with practical applications. This position will perform field inspections of privately and publicly owned detention ponds, prepare correspondences to the pond owners, develop and schedule to follow-up with pond owners to verify the completion of necessary improvements and update and maintain the pond inspection database. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, basic knowledge of hydrology and stormwater detention systems, and possess a valid driver’s license. The person should be enrolled in an accredited engineering college curriculum and have earned a minimum of 24 credit hours or equivalent by the start of employment.
