When other organizations can't or won't take people in, we do.

About us

Victory Programs has helped individuals and families in crisis for over 45 years. Thousands turn to us yearly for shelter, sustenance, recovery, care, and professional, compassionate support. Most struggle with substance use and mental health, and many live with HIV/AIDS. When other organizations will not or cannot take them in, we do. At Victory Programs, we don’t judge. Employing a harm-reduction model that uses facilitative rather than coercive methods, we meet people where they are with individualized services that focus on their strengths and support them in making life-sustaining decisions. Our team of more than 200 staff across 19 programs works with people to develop and execute creative, safe solutions to the very real challenges they face. Victory Programs has programs located in several Boston neighborhoods. With a passionate team, competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package, Victory Programs is a great place to work! The strength of a community is measured by how it cares for its most vulnerable members. At Victory Programs, we see the power of a supportive community daily. As the summer sun shines bright, it reminds us of the warmth and resilience that define our communities. While summer brings joy and relaxation for many, it can also be a time of increased vulnerability for our clients. The sweltering heat poses significant risks, especially for those without stable housing or access to essential resources. This is where we can make a difference. Together, we can ensure that everyone has access to basic necessities that help them not just survive, but thrive. This isn’t just about providing items; it’s about sending a message of hope and solidarity to those who need it most. We urgently need summer items to support our clients through the hottest months. Simple items like t-shirts, shorts, and electrolyte packets can make a world of difference in someone’s day-to-day comfort and health. You can help by contributing to our Amazon Summer Wish List here: https://lnkd.in/eC3eC-8s Consider organizing a summer clothing drive at your office or within your local community. By donating new clothing items, your team will provide dignity and normalcy to those facing tough times. Your generosity will translate into tangible, life-changing support. If you wish to host a drive or donate items by mail or in person, you can deliver them to our admin office, Monday through Friday, 9 am-5 pm: Victory Programs 404 S. Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130 Together, we can harness the power of community to create positive change. I am deeply grateful for your continued support and commitment to making a difference. Let’s make this summer a season of compassion, connection, and care.

Thank you to Reservoir Church and EY for preparing our newest low-threshold permanent housing program for its incoming residents! While EY beautified the outdoor space, Reservoir Church cleaned and set up inside. This beautiful home in Jamaica Plain was converted into multiple single-room occupancy units for mostly women who have been historically marginalized and disenfranchised. The program will be staffed 24/7 and will offer a comprehensive range of services to support tenants on their journey towards holistic healing. Cheers to celebrating hope, resilience, and the power of kindness. Together, we will build a brighter future where everyone has a safe place to call home.

We are so grateful to the Flagship Pioneering team for volunteering with us to build harm-reduction kits! To make things extra special, the CEO of Flagship Pioneering, Noubar Afeyan, joined his team at our Back Bay office to tour both the BLC and the Mobile Prevention Team space and learn more about what we do. Every month, our Prevention team members distribute thousands of safer-use, hygiene, Narcan, and wound care kits to promote the health of our community in Mass/Cass. We’re so grateful for our volunteers, who make it possible for us to save lives! Thank you, Life Science Cares Boston, for being a fantastic partner and coordinating this volunteer opportunity! #LSCImpact, #LSCgrantee, #LSCNonprofitPartner #NetworkOfGood

A few weeks ago, the Department of Public Health announced there were 2,125 overdose deaths in Massachusetts in 2023. Legislation to pass Overdose Prevention Centers is needed to address this crisis and help save the lives of our friends, family, and neighbors. 📅 Join Massachusetts for Overdose Prevention Centers on Thursday, June 27th, at 11 a.m. at the State House (Room 222) to advocate for this legislation! This is your chance to learn more about the new overdose data and hear from families impacted by overdose and why the work of countless organizations serving those at risk of overdose-like Victory Programs and Massachusetts for Overdose Prevention Centers-is not done until there are zero overdose deaths in the state. Following the program, we will lobby the legislature to advocate for passing bills H.1981 and S.1242. If you plan on attending, please fill out the RSVP form (linked below) and let us know whether you are joining us for the event, lobby day, or both. https://lnkd.in/e_jcZFjE

Last week, we were fortunate enough to get together for our annual Employee Appreciation Day! Our staff channeled their youth at Supercharged Entertainment by go-kart racing, playing arcade games, competing in trampoline dodgeball, braving the ninja warrior course, and more. It was an incredible day of fun and bonding. It’s not often that everyone from across divisions can be together! From housing, health, recovery, prevention, and beyond, Victory Programs staff is in the business of saving lives. Thank you to each and every one of you for choosing to be part of the Victory Programs team. We’re so appreciative of all that you do! Thank you to Victory Programs’ HR team and leadership for organizing this fantastic event. Staff appreciation is crucial. It acknowledges the hard work and dedication that Victory Programs’ team members put in every day! Your efforts not only ensured everything ran smoothly and that everyone had a wonderful time, but also made Victory Programs staff feel valued and appreciated! And, of course, a big thank you to Supercharged Entertainment for hosting us. Until next year! #employeeappreciation #nonprofitwork #culture #nonprofitculture
