Today, we’re announcing our partnership with Digital Yacht to improve boat anchoring predictability—a major step forward in enhancing safety and peace of mind for boaters everywhere.⚓️ While modern anchor hardware is engineered to be highly capable, there’s no certainty that an anchor will truly grip to the ocean’s floor. Using Viam’s technology, Digital Yacht was able to launch their NjordLINK app with AnchorSafe, an advanced anchor drift alert solution. About the app launch, Nick Heyes, CEO of Digital Yacht, said “None of this would’ve been possible without Viam and the transformative technology we’ve been able to build into our product.” This app also monitors position, depth, and wind data alongside the AnchorSafe feature—to give boaters full visibility and the assurance they need to go ashore worry-free.
