ViableEdu is very proud to officially announce its partnership with Loomis, Sayles & Company. Since 2023, ViableEdu has collaborated with Loomis, Sayles & Company to create a tailored training offering that covers capital markets, asset management, market structure, credit research, sales & trading, financial market regulation and more. Led by ViableEdu Senior Instructor and Strategic Advisor Christine Kenny, the curriculum includes a blend of foundational, developmental, and specialized learning delivered via virtual sessions as well as in-person classes at Loomis, Sayles & Company’s Boston headquarters. Through interactive programming, Loomis, Sayles & Company interns build a strong foundation of knowledge by learning the basics of financial markets, asset classes, and market structure, and deepen this understanding by examining the mechanics of key financial systems and products. Last month, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the 2024 Milken Institute Global Confrence and I am truly inspired by this experience. The confrence brought together some of the brightest minds across various industries to discuss many pressing global issues. Throughout my time at the confrence, I had the chance to experience thought-provoking panels and insightful keynote speakers as well as invaluable networking opportunities. In addition, I was honored to give a speech on my incredible experience in the Milken Institue HBCU Fellows Program. Not only has this program given me the opportunity to expand my network, but it has also provided me with immense professional development. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and to Milken Institute and ViableEdu for allowing me to have this experience along with my cohort. I also want to give a huge thanks to Melanie S., Troy Duffie, Dale Favors, Nancy Wheeler and Joel Brown-Christenson for all of your support along the way.

Honors Economics Student at Howard University | Private Wealth Management @ J.P. Morgan Chase | Passionate about Economic Development in Underserved Communities | Committed to Service
It was an extreme pleasure to be invited to attend the 2024 Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, CA as a Milken HBCU Fellow. This event brings together leaders in industries such as finance and policy to have thought-provoking conversations. This well-respected, high-impact event was key in exposing me to some of the key issues being considered by politicans, CEOs and cultural influencers. Of the most exciting moments was being able to introduce myself and my fellowship cohort at an event at Richelieu Dennis’s (founder of Shea Moisture) home to celebrate Inclusive Capitalism, Milken’s effort to include more diverse players in the Asset Management, Private Equity and Venture Capital spaces. I truly enjoyed this opportunity and being able to meet so many impactful leaders. Special thanks to Blair C. Smith, Troy Duffie, and Melanie S. for their leadership throughout my time in this program.
