Vestar Capital and VCP VI portfolio company Roland Foods, LLC were thrilled to partner with SuitUp Incorporated to host an innovative business competition for local high school students. Teams went head to head to create a unique product for Roland, developing the marketing, design, finance, and business strategy for their ideas before pitching them live to the Vestar and Roland judges. It was a pleasure seeing student CEOs bring their creativity and ingenuity to the boardroom!
In April, over 20 Roland Foods employees volunteered and participated in Vestar Capital Partners SuitUp event! Teams of students were tasked with creating and live pitching a unique product for the Roland Foods catalog to a team of Vestar and Roland Foods judges. Employees engaged with students in this Roland Foods-focused business innovation challenge and supported the student teams as they built out their business ideas. It was an incredibly insightful experience and an invaluable opportunity for Roland Foods’ employees to mentor local high school students.
