We recently installed these sensors in on our South Alburg 28-4A circuit and immediately noticed high voltage (126 is the highest we aim for) on one phase of the transformer. Our lineman measured voltage nearby and found that it was within tolerance. As it turns out we had a bad transformer that could have turned into an outage. We love gaining this visibility on our distribution system and keeping the lights on!
🗞 Hot off the presses! 🗞 Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) has selected Edge Zero to provide real-time visibility into its low voltage (LV) network. VEC is Edge's first U.S.-based customer, marking a huge achievement following the company's launch in the North American market earlier this year. “VEC is seeking to integrate a variety of distributed energy resources to maintain affordability and reliability for our members,” stated Cyril Brunner, Innovation and Technology Leader at VEC. “Edge Zero’s solution will help VEC identify grid constraints to generate a complete picture of our distribution grid so that we can manage distributed energy resources to reduce infrastructure impacts resulting from the energy transition.” Read all about it here: https://lnkd.in/dDeaMZJq #ZeroDoubts #DistributionGrid #GridTransformation #GridResiliency #GridReliability
