🎉 🎉 🚨 HUGE NEWS!! 🚨 🎉 🎉 Verde is honored to announce that we have just won the final phase of the US Department of Energy's Perovskite Startup Prize! This is a $500,000 cash prize and an additional $100,000 of in-kind technical support. More importantly, this is a stamp of approval from a world-leading panel of commercial solar experts and technology leaders curated by the DOE. After tracking Verde's progress for over a year and a half, the panel concluded that our team, technology, and commercial plans have the potential for widespread impact on the future of solar energy and the fight against climate change. We wouldn't have been awarded this startup prize without our partners, so a huge shoutout to them! 💚 Keep an eye out for updates soon! Such a great program. HIGHLY recommend if you are eligible!
Applications for Blueprint Spring 2024 are now open. Blueprint is a non-resident program for graduate students, postdocs, research scientists, and their teams exploring the commercial opportunities of the scientific breakthroughs and startup projects. Now in its 8th cohort, Blueprint has supported over 450 teams from more than 100 institutions, bridging the gap between discovery and commercialization. The program equips the next generation of Tough Tech leaders with skills in technology risk mitigation, experimentation planning, market discovery, IP strategies, storytelling, and more. Participants benefit from access to The Engine Accelerator and Engine Ventures teams, as well as a network of Tough Tech founders, investors, policymakers, and corporate leaders. If you are interested in participating in Blueprint, please apply through our program website at engine.xyz/blueprint. This year, we're excited to pilot a new initiative in our Spring 2024 Blueprint program. The Commercialization Collaborators initiative invites experienced individuals to join and contribute significantly to a Blueprint team throughout the program. Collaborators will be fully integrated into the team, actively participating in the program. For those interested in becoming a Commercialization Collaborator, we encourage you to visit engine.xyz/blueprint to learn more and apply.
