Ultrapure water is crucial in the manufacturing of personal care products. For the month of July, we travel to the United Kingdom, where Mibelle Ltd. utlizes Ozonia* Membrel systems to disinfect and sanitize ultrapure water loops. The Ozonia Membrel is the only product within the Veolia Ozonia line produces ozone from the ultrapure water itself instead of gaseous air or oxygen via electrolytic ozone generation, eliminating any potentially harmful contamination. If you would like to learn more about Ozonia references and ozone applications, please visit the following link: https://bit.ly/3VgysGN #Veolia #Ozonia #ozonesystems

An active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturer in France initially relied on slow chemical oxygen demand (COD) tests to monitor organics levels in their wastewater. To optimize their ozone treatment process, the manufacturer implemented online total organic carbon (#TOC) monitoring using the Sievers TOC-R3 Analyzer, allowing for full oxidation of difficult compounds in the wastewater with reliable, real-time data. A North American food processing plant had to spend over $700,000 to conduct solids dredging to increase wastewater sludge pond capacity. After ten days of Veolia’s BioPlus* bioaugmentation treatment, sludge inventory was reduced by over 50%. This saved the plant $625,000 and eliminated the need for dredging. Water plays a crucial role in food and beverage manufacturing. With the high volumes of wastewater produced in F&B manufacturing, proper treatment is essential for compliance, cost savings, and sustainability. Unlike traditional wastewater monitoring methods, total organic carbon (#TOC) monitoring allows for: - Faster analysis time - Real-time data for adjusting chemical dosing - Confirmation of treatment effectiveness - Optimization of resource use To learn more about the benefits of organics monitoring, check out this article! https://bit.ly/3RUpakn #TotalOrganicCarbon #OrganicsMonitoring #WaterQuality #WaterAnalysis #Sievers #FoodAndBeverage #F&B

10 years ago, Acadia University’s firetube boilers exhibited significant scaling on the boiler tubes that reduced heat transfer and increased fuel cost. Veolia’s Solus* boiler dispersant helped prevent further deposition and dislodge existing deposits. This resulted in $77,500 in yearly savings and a reduction of 13 MT of CO₂. This month, ZeeWeed Customer Spotlight takes us to Asia to an oil company that required produced water to be treated not only to enhanced limits but to a very low turbidity level at the surface discharge outlet of the treatment plant. Produced water is often injected back into reservoirs to enhance pressure and oil recovery. However, the quality of injected produced water is critical to ensure it does not damage the reservoir porosity.
