Veolia Water Technologies Middle East (Qatar) and Katara Project have inaugurated a pioneering facility for the reuse of treated wastewater in #Qatar. Thanks to this state-of-the-art plant, The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara will save between 5,000 and 15,000 cubic meters of fresh water per day. 💧 ➡️ With a daily capacity of 15,000 cubic meters, this plant efficiently transforms treated wastewater into high-quality #water suitable for irrigating Katara's green spaces and supplying cooling towers. By substituting fresh water with this treated #wastewater, the project drastically reduces water costs and the #energy consumption required to produce clean water. 🗣️"Quand on essaie aujourd’hui d’opposer la fin du monde et la fin du mois, je pense qu’on se trompe de question ! Estelle Brachlianoff lors des #REAix2024. ➡️ La question brûlante de la compatibilité entre les objectifs écologiques et la performance économique a été au cœur des débats de la plénière “ #PlanificationEcologique, mirage économique?”. ➡️ Alors que les questions environnementales semblaient avoir été reléguées au second plan ces derniers mois, force est de constater que le besoin d'agir rapidement n'a jamais été aussi pressant ! 💧Il y a d’abord les réalités physiques. La première conséquence du changement climatique, c’est la perturbation du cycle de l'#eau dans les territoires : pas assez d’eau, ou trop, ou pas au bon endroit, ou pas au bon moment. 👨👨👧 Il y a aussi ce que pensent vraiment les populations. Pour le savoir, nous avons mené un sondage dans 26 pays. Deux tiers de la population mondiale a compris que le coût de l’inaction climatique serait plus élevé que le coût de l’action. 👫🏽 Les citoyens recherchent une écologie qui protège leur pouvoir d’achat, leur #santé et la richesse de leur #territoire. The patented chemical conversion maximizes reuse of the condensate generated, with a recovery rate of over 94%, significantly reducing the #water footprint of the industrial process. 💧 This will be a real asset for South Korea, the world’s second-largest producer in this sector, as it works to step up domestic production of lithium hydroxide. 🚀
