Last month, Valley Bank's Women in Business program hosted events across our footprint. From networking to inspiring talks, here's a quick recap: In Thornwood, NY, we kicked off with a delightful in-branch event featuring networking, wine tasting, and charcuterie boards. Donna Ruzzi and Lisa SummaGuarino, our new Women in Business Ambassadors, welcomed guests with open arms. Our second hosted event in May at Calandra’s restaurant in Fairfield, NJ, was a hit! Susan Ascher, CEO of The Ascher Group and transformational career and leadership coach, shared invaluable insights on how to stay relevant and professionally grow. We also proudly sponsored four fantastic events: ⛳ LPGA Cognizant Founders Cup Ladies Day: A spectacular day of watching pro women's golf, refreshments, and networking. 💼 Citrin Cooperman's 'Women at the Wheel' NJ breakfast: Tips from a powerhouse panel of women leaders. 🍸 Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation FL event: Women in philanthropy, cocktails & conversations 🎤 Morris County Chamber’s Table Talks: Our very own Marcella Gencarelli and Tammy Mata hosted, sparking insightful conversations and connections. “The most powerful thing you can do is recognize your value and share it loudly. Your voice matters – and when you honor that, you help set the tone for every woman that comes after you.” – our Market President of Commercial Banking, Kristen Burke, on what it means to embark on a career in a traditionally male-dominated industry. This #WomensHistoryMonth, Kristen connected with Long Island Business News to share her take on defining leadership in the commercial banking space, and why trailblazing your own way forward – especially in a male-dominated field – is one of the most impactful things you can do. https://lnkd.in/eh8DxFbR
