Valley Health System is proud to announce that Audrey Meyers, CEO Emeritus for Valley Health System, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA), in recognition of her 44 years of service to Valley. According to NJHA, the Lifetime Achievement Award, “recognizes the long-term contributions of an NJHA member who has demonstrated exemplary leadership, commitment, and integrity through a career dedicated to improving the health of the people of New Jersey.” This recognition is fitting for the extraordinary impact Meyers has had on healthcare in New Jersey for more than four decades. As CEO Emeritus, Meyers has ushered in an era of remarkable transformation at Valley, introducing new healthcare services; forming strategic clinical partnerships with renowned organizations, such as the Mount Sinai Health System and Cleveland Clinic Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute; and recruiting skilled clinicians who deliver advanced healthcare to our community. Meyers is also recognized for her leadership in relocating The Valley Hospital from its 73-year-old home in Ridgewood, New Jersey to a new, nearly one-million-square-foot, technologically advanced, 385-bed “smart” hospital in Paramus, New Jersey. The relocation took place on Sunday, April 14, 2024. This monumental task, many years in the making, was a testament to Meyers’ unwavering vision to bring the very best in healthcare to our community. #ValleyHealthSystem

Brenner, MD, MMM, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer for Valley Health System, has been named to the 2024 People to Watch in Health Care list, released by NJBIZ. On July 1, Dr. Brenner was promoted to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Valley Health System. As President and CEO of Valley Health System, Dr. Brenner, in partnership with the Valley Health System Board of Trustees, serves as a member of the System Board and leads the System’s overall vision, strategy development, future program and service expansion, and the operations of the System’s three entities – The Valley Hospital, Valley Home Care, and Valley Medical Group. Jersey's Best Magazine has named 34 physicians from The Valley Hospital Medical Staff to its 2024 list of “Top Cancer Doctors.” Each year, Jersey’s Best releases a list of the state’s top physicians in conjunction with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., which publishes America’s Top Doctors lists. Based on peer nominations, attributes such as board certification, clinical skills, training, years in practice, and achievements are reviewed and assessed by a physician-led research team. This intensive research methodology is designed to identify doctors that will achieve the best possible health outcomes, according to Castle Connolly.
