They’re leading the charge in fusion energy from Seattle. 🌿 Sublime Systems secured $75M to scale its low-carbon cement technology, backed by CRH and Holcim, and driving innovation from Somerville, MA. 💧 Utility Global, based in Houston, raised $53M to produce hydrogen from steel off-gas, pushing the boundaries of green hydrogen production. 🚗 Munich’s VELA raised $44.8M to develop wind-powered cargo ships, with support from Crédit Mutuel Impact and 11th Hour Racing. 🌍 Cyclic Materials secured $53M to recycle rare earth metals and build a circular supply chain from Toronto, with backing from ArcTern Ventures and Hitachi Ventures. 🔋 Dandelion Energy, a leader in geothermal energy systems, secured $40M to expand residential geothermal solutions, backed by GV (Google Ventures), from Peekskill, NY. 💡 David Energy, based in Brooklyn, raised $23M to enhance its retail energy platform, with support from Cathay Innovation. 🌱 Notpla raised $27M to advance its seaweed-based packaging technology, leading the sustainable packaging movement from London. We had an incredible experience at H2 MEET last week discussing our gas production technology; our producing hydrogen from steel blast furnace gas in a single reactor step for the first time in history; and our designs for industrial scale. Utility Global Raises $53 Million of Ongoing Series C Financing   Additional investments in round led by the OPG Pension Plan, and joined by ArcelorMittal XCarb® Innovation Fund, Ara Partners and other existing investors ArcelorMittal and Utility Global also entered into a Collaboration Agreement to develop a commercial facility at one or more of ArcelorMittal’s integrated steel plants.
