Yesterday, CCI leadership and UT's Center for Global Engagement hosted Chinese Embassy Minister Counsellor Shen Xuesong and Second Secretary of the Education Section Jiang Hongmin to discuss the 2 2 degree program with Liaoning University. We are proud to host one of the first programs of this kind at University of Tennessee, Knoxville and look forward to the opportunities it will create for our students.

Aubrey Steinberg was living out her “Emily in Paris” dreams over the summer, only she was across the pond in London. During her internship, Aubrey, a senior at the Tombras School of Advertising & Public Relations, had the opportunity to work with major brands like Monster Jam, Betty Crocker, and the popular Netflix show “Emily in Paris” and she even received course credit for her work. A special shout out to Tombras School of Advertising & Public Relations Assistant Professor Jeannette Iannacone on being honored with the James E. Grunig and Larissa A. Grunig Outstanding Thesis and Dissertation Award at the 2024 International Communication Association Conference this summer in Australia. The annual conference in the communication field attracts thousands of academics and scholars from around the world each year. It is a great opportunity for graduate students to network, meet with other scholars in their academic area, and potentially form collaborations. Several faculty members from The Tombras School of Advertising and Public Relations, the UT School of Journalism & Media, and the UT College of Communication & Information doctoral students presented their research.
