Today the Federal Aviation Administration announced an agreement with two schools -- Tulsa Community College and the University of Oklahoma -- to participate in the agency's Enhanced Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative. These schools will provide the same training for aspiring air traffic controllers as the FAA Academy in Oklahoma and will help accelerate the hiring and development of new air traffic controllers who are essential to safety of the flying public. Hopefully, more schools will join the program soon. #BeATC #ATCtraining #CTIs #aviationsafety #FAA https://lnkd.in/ednRgEQv

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, our thoughts are with the people and communities impacted. We're working shoulder-to-shoulder with our federal and state partners in their efforts to access the impacted areas to assess infrastructure damage. FHWA is working with all states impacted by Hurricane #Helene to determine eligibility for funding under FHWA’s Emergency Relief Program, which helps repair eligible damaged roads and bridges nationwide. If you're traveling in an affected area, please stay informed about closures and follow detours for your safety. The whole-of-government will be there as long as it takes to finish the job. For information on road closures, please visit: https://lnkd.in/g-FTXRK
