Stepping up Our Efforts in the Healthcare Sector While we’ve been serving the healthcare industry for most of our 161-year history, we’ve intensified our focus on this important sector to provide unique, interconnected solutions to our clients that leverage our banking and payments capabilities. Our recent acquisition of Salucro Healthcare Solutions will help healthcare clients large and small make patient billing and payment easier. Salucro, the company behind MedEpay, helps clients gain efficiency and deliver a positive client experience by interconnecting the solution into the platforms healthcare companies use to manage the patient experience. We’re also enhancing our client service approach to provide high-quality, consultative and personalized support for our healthcare clients. Recently, we announced Joe Kight as head of Healthcare in our Institutional Client Group. Last year, we brought in Joseph Persichetti as head of Business Banking Healthcare. These industry veterans and their teams are bringing the bank’s full resources to our clients. Healthcare is one of the largest business sectors in our country. National health expenditures grew to $4.5 trillion in 2022, accounting for 17.3% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Healthcare employs over 22 million workers, with women representing nearly 80% of the healthcare work force, according to the CDC. We provide a broad range of banking and payment services to healthcare organizations, including hospital systems, insurers, medical equipment manufacturers and medical, dental, and veterinary practices. We also work with payers and fintechs. It’s also one of the most vital and personal sectors to so many people. After all, the work these companies do helps keep people healthy across the country and around the world. It's an honor to serve these clients, because when we can deliver financial expertise to healthcare professionals, they can do what they do best: helping improve the lives of so many people. When I speak to our bankers who work in this space, they often say how gratifying it is to help these companies do this very critical work. We’re very privileged to play a role in this effort and we’re excited for what the future holds. #usbank #healthcare
