Incredible news from Cumberland County! The 4-Minute City Program just contributed to its first life-saving event. On July 16, CARE volunteer Alan Wirt responded to a sudden cardiac arrest call, arriving quickly with an Avive AED to administer CPR and deliver a life-saving shock. At the UPMC Pinnacle Foundation, we're proud to support this vital initiative alongside the Peyton Walker Foundation. This vital program ensures new families have access to safe sleep environments for their babies. By providing cribs and pack-and-plays, we're helping to reduce the risk of sleep-related infant deaths and giving parents peace of mind. Together, we're making a difference one crib at a time!

In partnership with The Neighboring Academy, 10-12 rising juniors from Steelton-Highspire School District will spend 6 weeks at UPMC Harrisburg. We're thrilled to share highlights from Howard Hanna Real Estate Services of Central Pa's recent visit to UPMC Children’s in Central Pa. The day was filled with meaningful experiences, starting with a delightful lunch alongside the Howard Hanna team. Hoddy Hanna and Brooke Echnat provided insightful updates, followed by an enlightening presentation from Abby Flanders of Children's Community Pediatrics. The visit culminated in an exclusive tour of UPMC Children’s in Central Pa., showcasing our state-of-the-art facilities. The true highlight of the visit was their incredible act of generosity; a $34,218 check presented to the UPMC Pinnacle Foundation. This donation will have a direct and significant impact on our pediatric patients across central PA, enhancing their care and comfort. A special moment was hearing from grateful patient Caremy Darr, who shared her appreciation for the care she received at UPMC Children's. Her story reminds us why the Howard Hanna Children's Free Care Fund and the work of the UPMC Pinnacle Foundation are so important. Thank you to everyone who makes our mission possible.
