About us
UNT Ad Club is the official collegiate chapter of the American Advertising Federation at the University of North Texas. UNT Ad Club was founded in 1983 by Ernie Farr at North Texas State University. In 1987, the university's name was officially changed to the University of North Texas. UNT Ad Club allows college students to make connections outside of the classroom. Our members learn from current industry professionals and have incredible networking opportunities. Throughout the year, we travel to advertising agencies mostly located in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex so that members can learn first-hand about the industry. Additionally, we regularly showcase guest speakers that are current advertising professionals during club meetings. We focus on preparing students for careers in the ad industry with educational presentations, resume reviews, and creative portfolio workshops.
