The University of Maine System is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Administrative Specialist CL 1 in the Shared Processing Center. This is a full-time regular continuing 31-week, non-exempt position (October - April) located in Orono on the University of Maine campus. The successful applicant will perform complex clerical duties in all phases of the operation of the office - including, but not limited to, the processing of admission application materials, immunization documents, and loan processing documents. The position requires extensive procedural knowledge and application of the administrative policies of the University, or regulations of outside agencies. Work is performed under general supervision. The University of Maine System is accepting applications for an HR Project Specialist. This person would work at the University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK). The HR Project Specialist is primarily responsible for leading and implementing a wide range of administrative, operational, and project-based activities. This includes coordination and oversight of issues related to all aspects of UMFK employee support, as well as a full range of operational, logistical, and project management duties, relevant meetings, report writing, and internal and external communications. The position has considerable responsibility for complex non-routine tasks in which independent judgment, initiative, and confidentiality are critical. Knowledge of technology, logistics, communication, and the ability to assume responsibilities for important projects make this position a significant contributor to the Human Resources (HR) team. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential. This position serves as the point of contact for many constituencies. This position is onsite at UMFK with the possibility of one remote day per week for the right candidate.
