About us
United Way of Northwest Arkansas is an independently-governed 501(c)3 nonprofit organization connected to a network of more than 1,400 local United Ways through United Way Worldwide. We have our own board of directors and focus our work on creating long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of problems with our community. United Way of Northwest Arkansas is working to unite our communities to empower people and improve lives. Our focus is to identify and remove barriers many people face so that all families can be self-sufficient. We work at the roots of the problems our community faces by working to build a strong foundation on Education, Income, and Health, and Safety Net. Our Mission: Uniting our communities to empower people and improve lives. Our Bold Goal: To provide every child in Northwest Arkansas a pathway out of poverty. We earned a 2021 Platinum Seal of Transparency! Learn more about our organization’s impact through our #NonprofitProfile on @CandidDotOrg: https://www.guidestar.org/profile/71-0305700
