USIC is proud to have supported CenterPoint Energy in restoring power to an estimated 2.8 million after Hurricane Beryl made landfall July 8 near Matagorda, TX. Our first response storm team performed the locates required to safely replace approximately 2,000 poles and repair as many as 6,000 instances of damage to the power grid. Thank you to our dedicated crews across the Houston region for your support of the restoration efforts and the Houston community in the aftermath of this devastating natural disaster. #LeadingFromTheGroundUp

Thank you to the Central Florida District and Technician Zabrina Diaz for hosting our VP of Government Affairs, Nancy Mitchell, today! A day in the field provides an up-close view of an operating environment impacted by record levels of infrastructure investment and increased project work. The experience will inform the Government Affairs Team’s work to educate legislators and regulators on one call law updates needed to ensure safe digging.
