United Cargo’s September of Service concluded with two great events! 🎉 First, our dedicated Cargo team assembled at Willis Tower to put together 200 Kynd Kits for Unhoused Migrant Youth, showcasing our commitment to community service. 📦🤗 Closing the month out, United Cargo’s senior leadership team and customers engaged in “Seeding the Future,” 🌱 a sustainability initiative for Hawaii’s native plant life and reforestation. United Flight 799 arrived in AVL (Asheville, NC) from DEN on Monday with the first shipment of essential supplies, including water, shelf stable food, dog and cat food, disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer and more. United Cargo's Canadian crew rocked the September of Service, teaming up with Daily Bread Food Bank to squash food insecurity! 🥕 We sorted a mountain of 2,828 lbs of carrots—enough to feed 257 people for three days. Big cheers to username_1 for the closest carrot guess! Together, we’re showing that community spirit and teamwork lead to amazing results. "The team that supports Canada may be small in number, but we knew by working together we could massively amplify our impact," said Hannah Roque. "The importance of September 11th and the September of Service resonates so strongly within the United Culture. The ORD United Cargo Team rolled up their sleeves and dove into service with heart and muscle! 💪🏠 We revisited our friends at Habitat for Humanity, where we previously helped a deserving family prepare their future home. This time, we tackled Habitat Restore in Addison, IL, assembling, loading, and sprucing up furniture to support affordable housing. Our team’s efforts earned high praise, and we’re already gearing up for our next volunteer adventure in November.
