UniGroup recently exhibited at the SHRM conference in Chicago. #SHRM24 saw a near record-breaking attendance of more than 26,000 registered in-person and virtual attendees. We loved having the opportunity to network with our existing corporate clients and meet a lot of new faces. Our team was amazed at how many attendees took the time to share personal stories of their moving experiences with United Van Lines and Mayflower. We sat down with UniGroup Claims Manager Chuck Russell to discuss his recent election as president of the Claims Prevention & Procedure Council (CPPC). The CPPC is a non-profit organization focused on claims prevention and loss mitigation. As president, Chuck aims to foster collaboration, identify trends, and share best practices with other industry professionals. Russell said, “This is a great honor, as it continues to allow me the opportunity to represent UniGroup and our brands in a new capacity. Being elected by the council members, I think, also shows UniGroup is seen as a dedicated partner who is eager to collaborate with others and provide excellent customer service. Yesterday, we celebrated #PrideMonth by diving into its rich history and significance. Our Pride Knowledge Hour featured two insightful videos showcasing the struggles and triumphs of the LGBTQ community. Employees were encouraged to reflect, share feedback, and discuss the content with peers. A big thank you to everyone who participated, both virtually and in-person, and to UniGroup's Inclusion Council for organizing this enlightening event. The UniGroup Scholarship Foundation recently awarded over $20,000 in scholarships to children of our employees for the 2024-2025 academic year. This year’s recipients were selected by an independent panel and will receive financial support for their college education. Sasha Kennedy ($7,500) - attending Maryville University for Early Childhood/Elementary Education. Elizabeth Emmons ($5,000) - attending University of Missouri-Columbia for Health Science-Pre-Professional and Fitness Programming Management. Xavier Halbert ($4,000) - attending Jefferson Community College for Associates of Science. Autumn Biego ($4,000) - attending Missouri State University majoring in Music with minors in Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences. Our Operations team kicked off the summer with a BBQ this afternoon, celebrating the start of peak season with burgers, games, and plenty of fun! Many employees were sporting their new throwback merch from Trans Advantage, adding an extra touch of nostalgia and team spirit to the festivities. We're looking forward to a fantastic summer within our network!

Today, we're celebrating a remarkable milestone with Senior Director of Agency Success, Chris Wynn, who has retired after an incredible 50-year journey with UniGroup. Chris joined us in 1974 and has made a lasting impact across eight different departments, from Household Goods in the 70s to his most recent role in Agency Development. Chris, your dedication and expertise have left an lasting mark on UniGroup and all who have had the pleasure of working with you. The legacy you've left is one that has helped shape our success and we are immensely grateful for your leadership over the years. In an effort to show Chris just how much we'll miss him, we got together to celebrate his achievements over the last 50 years.
