Check out what our graduate students are doing this summer: developing PFAS-free disposable food packaging (paper plate and paper bowl) using sustainable biomaterials-paperboard and nanocellulose-derived from 🌲 🌳. The graduate students (left: Mahfuza Promy ; right: Bright Appiah) are using the 3D Dry thermoforming machine 👇🏻 to make the food packaging products. The specific dry thermoforming food packaging project is led by Doug Bousfield, Jinwu Wang as a part of 2022 ARS Food packaging. #PFASfree, #foodpackaging, #sustainability,#woodtocellulose
