The strength of the ULCC is our membership. We are a diverse group of individuals with a common desire to meet others, make connections, learn new things, enjoy the city's cultural offerings and find ways to give back to our community and country. We are from different places, backgrounds, professions and points of view. We are members because we value the opportunity to become friends and together enjoy the ULCC's extensive array of programming and amenities. We consider our clubhouse a home away from home with first-class benefits. There are multiple comfortable spaces to bring a laptop and get serious work done or find time to chat with members from different professions and share ideas and business opportunities. A few floors away are spa and workout facilities with personal training, a swimming pool and competitive sports. Barber, massage and dry-cleaning services are available. Social programs that make it easy to meet people round out the day, and freshly prepared food is offered from breakfast onward in settings that range from casual to luxurious. All to be enjoyed with family, friends or with a good book by a roaring fireplace. Member Spotlight: Jan Howarth Donatelli 🌟 Occupation: Retired Navy Pilot and Retired Airline Pilot School(s): College of William and Mary, B.B.A. What prompted you to join the ULCC? I had been enjoying Club privileges through my husband for 16 years when I learned about the Dual Spousal Membership. I wanted to get a membership in my own right so I could volunteer on committees and give back to the place I enjoyed so much! What did you learn about the Club after joining? After joining myself, I learned of the deeper and richer friendships I formed by serving on the Public Affairs and Military Affairs Subcommittee. Organizing events is so fun and rewarding. What is your fondest ULCC memory? While I have so many fond ULCC memories, my two favorites are my wedding reception and my husband’s retirement party. I would highly encourage anyone having a special event to hold it at the Club—they take care of everything in the most spectacular manner! I also enjoy being part of the Public Affairs Committee and attend so many events honoring the cause. As Co-chair of the Military Subcommittee, we love when people get involved! #clublife
