It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Taunya A. Phillips, Director of the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) at the University of Kentucky (UK), effective August 1. After 25 years of exceptional service and dedication to UK and Kentucky, Taunya will begin an exciting new role as Assistant Vice President at Wayne State University, leading their commercialization activities. Taunya's journey with UK began with her B.S. in chemical engineering, followed by an MBA. Over the past 25 years, she has been a pivotal figure in economic development and commercialization. Promoted to Director of OTC in 2021, she has managed UK’s intellectual property, licensing and startup portfolios and created the UK Women Innovators Network (UKWIN). Thank you, Taunya, for your remarkable contributions. We wish you the best in your retirement and new role. Read more: conta.cc/4d9MPWg
