Dr. Mashni specializes in podiatry, wound care, and foot & ankle surgery. He studied Podiatric Medicine at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami after finishing his undergraduate education in Biology and Neuroscience at the University of Kentucky. He completed his residency in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, MA. Dr. Mashi comes to UK St. Claire along with his wife, Dr. Karen Feghali. Dr. Feghali treats various endocrine conditions, including diabetes, thyroid, and parathyroid disease. She completed her fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Feghali completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston, MA. She comes to UK St. Claire along with her husband, Dr. Mark Mashni. UK St. Claire is pleased to offer an Endocrinology specialty close to home. Endocrine System imbalances can lead to various issues like mood swings, fatigue and weakness, unintended weight fluctuations, heart rate and blood pressure changes, and more. UK St. Claire proudly welcomes board-certified nephrologist Adarsha Ojha, M.D., to its medical staff, joining Nephrology Specialist Kenneth Afenya, M.D. Dr. Ojha completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He studied nephrology during his fellowship at the University of Alabama, where he received extensive training in general and transplant nephrology. Kidney disease, whether acute or chronic, often has no symptoms until it is very advanced. Regular, routine blood and urine tests are crucial in detecting kidney disease and dysfunction. The good news is we can treat or decrease the progression of kidney disease if caught early. UK St. Claire proudly welcomes board-certified oncologist Bara Alzghoul, M.D., to its medical staff, joining Hematology/Oncology specialists Ravneet Thind, M.D., Arej Sawani, M.D., and Brittany Blair, APRN. Dr. Alzghoul completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Kentucky where he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine for nearly three years. Dr. Alzghoul completed his Internal Medicine residency at Ascension Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, where he also served as Chief Resident. UK St. Claire’s oncology team delivers a personalized care plan for every stage of a patient’s cancer treatment and recovery.
