This is UIP's Electric Medicine Cabinet -This surface mounted cabinet has three doors with mirrored glass inside and out. There are two vertical lights in the glass doors and a ring of light around the 10X magnifying mirror, that can be turned on and off independently from the cabinet door lights. The unit also has blue tooth speakers built in so you can play your favorite music or NPR while in the shower/bath. This is just one of many USP's that UIP installs in our apartments. As a Project Partner for the new DC SAFE Space Crisis Shelter in Washington, D.C., UIP was honored to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 20th. Civic leaders from the mayor’s office, the city council, and even congressperson Eleanor Holmes Norton were glowing with a sense of accomplishment: their determination and perseverance made this the district's first 24/7 crisis intake center with accommodations for both survivors of domestic violence and their families. Each year this location is expected to provide for 750 domestic violence survivors and families. Just as remarkable is that this 30-unit building takes a holistic approach to crisis management by incorporating on-site support services, an adjustable range of apartment suites for families of all sizes, plus children's play facilities. From all of us at UIP, we congratulate you on your accomplishments thus far and commend you on your tireless service and dedication.
