About us
At UCHealth, we do things differently. We strive to promote individual and community health and leave no question unanswered along the way. We’re driven to improve and optimize health care. Our network of nationally-recognized hospitals, clinic locations and health care providers extends throughout Colorado, southern Wyoming and western Nebraska. We deliver excellent care close to home, no matter where you might live. Our success is defined by more than our patient volumes or treatment outcomes. It’s about building a team of exceptional people, from our clinical staff to our expert physicians, who consistently do what is right for the individuals we are honored to serve. UCHealth, a 501(c) (3) health system, was formed in 2012 to increase access to innovative and advanced patient care, realize supply chain and IT efficiencies, and to better serve patients throughout the Rocky Mountain region by combining academic-based and community-focused medicine. Together, the clinics and hospitals within UCHealth can offer the most advanced treatments to improve the lives of patients and their families in Colorado and beyond.

Over seven million people suffer from Alzheimer’s, and that number could nearly double by 2050. So, what can we do to reduce the risk? According to Dr. Tara Carlisle, a behavioral neurologist at CU School of Medicine, it’s complicated. While the APOE gene is a known risk factor, particularly for the small percentage of people with two copies, other factors like environment and lifestyle play a role too. Genetic testing may be important for those with early signs of Alzheimer’s who are considering FDA-approved treatments. But Carlisle emphasizes that the best proactive steps are exercise, a healthy diet, mental stimulation, and staying socially active. Want to dive deeper into Alzheimer’s research? Learn more here:

Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that requires immediate intervention. But thanks to virtual patient monitoring, AI integration and human smarts, our providers are saving 1,000 people a year from sepsis. The virtual sepsis monitoring program is expanding in southern Colorado to provide faster response times and expand our patient safety! The program operates out of the UCHealth Virtual Health Center, where staff can monitor patients remotely, use advanced technology to provide real-time data and send alerts to health care teams in our hospitals.

Fiestas Patrias! A family festival held in Colorado Springs that celebrates Mexico’s independence by bringing people from diverse Latino origins together to create a cultural fusion of music, dancing and of course, ¡Comida deliciosa! We are proud to offer free health screenings at community events. These screenings play a significant role in providing individuals with vital health information, including blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels. We aim to empower individuals to take charge of their health and well-being ❤️

“I wasn’t seeing that light at the end of the tunnel. I just wanted to give up, but everyone here really uplifted my spirits.” Every year The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society organizes the Light the Night Walk at Wash Park to unite the community in celebrating, honoring, and remembering all those affected by cancer. Not all are able to attend, so we come together to bring the walk to them.
