Simulations offer students opportunities to practice skills in a low-stakes environment. Our Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students recently took part in an immersive, mass causality simulation where they encountered numerous traumas involving advanced manikins and live patients, navigating high-stress conditions that are found in real-life disaster situations.
