SALT had an incredible week in Jackson Hole for our inaugural Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, in partnership with Kraken Digital Asset Exchange and the University of Wyoming Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation. Over the week, I was able to connect with colleagues in the digital asset and blockchain industry, listen in on discussions with key policymakers and enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty of Jackson Hole with family and friends. I wanted to share my takeaways from the event.

Les Trois Tetons never fail to humble and inspire. We dreamt up the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium as the industry was licking its wounds from the FTX debacle. We wanted to create a small, earnest institutional crypto event that was antidote to the prior era of intemperance. Jackson Hole felt like the perfect SALT venue, not only for its natural beauty, but for the Cowboy State's libertarian ethos and digital assets progressivism. The Symposium exceeded even my high expectations. Special gratitude toward 1) Kraken Digital Asset Exchange for helping us deliver a special experience, 2) the Wyoming ecosystem - Gov. Since his election in 2018, he has spearheaded the state's legislative efforts, signing over 30 bills that have positioned Wyoming as a leader in blockchain and digital asset regulation. As Chair of the Wyoming Stable Token Commission, Governor Gordon is guiding the state towards launching the first fiat-backed, fully-reserved stable token issued by a public entity.
