We're excited to be building new affordable housing on the Greater East Side of St. Paul, but we also recognize that we're building in an existing community. Once the land of the Dakota people, the Greater East Side was home to a Jewish golf club created after WWII, and now is home to many indigenous and immigrant families. Edgar closed on his Habitat home in 2010, but he's volunteered many times since then. When we launched our new Volunteer & Learn program earlier in 2024, Edgar was the first to sign up! Learning new skills is important to him as a homeowner, and it helps him stay active in the Habitat community.

Amy Klobuchar for a roundtable discussion at the Neighborhood Development Center to discuss opportunities to support Minnesota CDFIs. Partnering with CDFIs is crucial to Habitat's ability to offer affordable mortgage products to our homebuyers. #AffordableHousing
