It was an honor to be interviewed by the U.S Dept. of Transportation to discuss the “Safe Streets for All” grant impact it will have on safety for our regions transportation infrastructure. Last year’s announcement of the “Safe Streets for All" Grant totaling 21 Million for six LPA's within the Tulsa metro that include: Tulsa County, Wagoner County, City of Tulsa, City of Broken Arrow, City of Owasso and the City of Jenks. • Our regional grant award through INCOG was for $21.2M in Federal Funding (this represents 74% of the total funding which has been awarded to OK entities) Tulsa County's portion ($4M) represents 14% of the total funding which has been awarded to OK entities. This award is the first and only Implementation Grant to be awarded to an entity in the state of Oklahoma This was made possible in large part by INCOG's Local Road Safety Plan. Thank you Rich Brierre, Executive Director and Thomas Dow, INCOG Transportation Director for your outstanding work.
