L&D and Ops teams spend SO much time creating resources that go unused... Which is why we've been so excited by the positive reception to Tango's latest feature, "Pin this Tango." The reality for any knowledge management platform is that answers are still hard to find. No matter how good search or AI is... it still relies on end users to know what to ask. And there can be conflicting answers and dead ends. A few months ago we heard a quote that really landed with us. “Guide Me is seriously amazing. The hard part is finding the Tango in the first place.” With Pinned Tangos, business & enterprise customers can now pin guides right at the very point on internal software where end users will need them with just two clicks... and actually delivers on bringing how-to knowledge OUT of the LMS and wiki and into the flow of work. 👏

Got an upcoming software training project? Chances are, a Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) is on your radar. DAPs are amazing for teaching end users how to use software, but they can also be: 👎 Clunky to operate 👎 Difficult to integrate 👎 Complex to deploy Want to avoid these pitfalls? Here’s why they happen and four things to watch out for before you buy. 👇

Ease of use is everything to us. So it feels like the best possible compliment to get G2 reviews like these. Our whole premise the last few years has been that Digital Adoption Platforms (DAPs) like WalkMe have been notoriously hard to use and have really only made sense for larger teams who can invest in the specialized skills to make use of them. So with Tango, we've focused front and center on usability barriers to make the core DAP features actually viable to companies of all sizes. Functionality like: -Creating process guides in seconds ⚡ -Following those guides with magical step-by-step assistance ✨ -Pinning guides and tips on any internal software with one click to make them actually easy to find and use 📌 Lots more to build but we're really proud that ease of use is front and center in the experience. Software is only as good as how people are able to use it.

Software rollouts don’t have to be a challenge… ...But it usually is. There are a few reasons why: 1. You don’t get everybody involved 2. Your training is easily ignored or viewed as cumbersome 3. You’re not using change management best practices to encourage adoption My friends at Tango are changing all that. They’re using stuff like: • Step-by-step guidance: Training is built into your software, so there’s no tab switching or bouncing around. • Tooltips that work: Users will know where to click, making it simple to follow walkthroughs • Context and pro tips: Callouts alert users with important information they need to know for GSD I've been using it for a bit, and I gotta say I am hooked, especially as a small business operator who needs to document lots of processes.

We surveyed 400 people to discover what they dislike about software how-to guides. The results? 1️⃣ Not enough context  2️⃣ Too much context So, what does great documentation look like? 📝 Helps people do their job faster  📝 Saves energy for more strategic work  📝 Strikes that balance between too much and too little We call this “minimum viable context” (MVC) at Tango. It’s the Goldilocks Zone—just right. 🥣 Want to put MVC into practice? Here are some ideas to get you started:   ➡️ Include a screenshot for every step in your how-to guide ➡️ Crop your screenshots and zoom in on the information that matters ➡️ Add big, clear annotations so people know where to look (and what to do) ➡️ Limit text to <10 words  ➡️ Keep any videos to two minutes or less  ➡️ Embed the instructions in the tools where people are working ➡️ Create a table of content with anchor links to help people skip straight to where they’re stuck

One of the biggest mistakes an Ops professional can make is to limit themselves to "order taker". COO at Aethereal, TRAVIS CORMIER, is the perfect example of how to avoid this. In fact, he went from the company's freelance writer to their COO by showcasing one of the most underrated Ops skills: being an agent of change. If you want to make a bigger impact, start building a reputation as an operator who:  👀 has a pulse on what’s new and next  💥 isn’t afraid to abandon the status quo  🪴 sets your team up for success as your Ops function evolves and expands

If you’re rolling out new software and you’re under the impression 100% of your end users are hanging onto every word in your two-hour training… Think again. 🫣 End users: ❌ Don’t want to watch a 10-minute video to do something that takes 30 seconds ✅ Do want to skip straight to the step where they’re getting stuck ❌ Don’t really care about your voiceover or tone ✅ Do want “just enough context” to get back to the task at hand ❌ Don’t want a monologue to go with their software training  ✅ Do want a highly prescribed way to get stuff done with screenshots for each step No matter how great your voiceover is, your end users want to learn software while using it.
