Happy 20th to Trinity Terrace! This 62-unit, affordable housing development is located in the Four Corners neighborhood of Dorchester. The project began in 2003 with the acquisition of one privately owned parcel of land, and twenty-two parcels owned by the City of Boston. For many years the vacant lots served as dumping grounds for refuse, adversely affecting the surrounding community. The development process entailed construction of twelve townhouse structures and the rehabilitation of a 19th century commercial building that had been vacant for 30 years. The three-story commercial building provides first-floor retail space, with eight housing units above. Trinity Terrace also includes a community center that provides space for property management and recreation activities for residents. #dorchester #Multifamily #AffordableHousing #MixedIncomeHousing #MixedUse #RealEstate #TrinityFinancial

#TFIspotlightseries: celebrating the artistry of #blindxsoul - Nuno Ribeiro! His piece, “Flourish Through the Concrete” (acrylic, spray paint on canvas) graces the lobby of our Empresa building in #BrocktonMA. Born in Cape Verde, Nuno immigrated to #Brockton in his teenage years. As a student at Brockton High School, he became motivated to follow his creative passions and explore his authentic self. After high school, Nuno created his clothing brand "Blind Soul" and began to pursue his interests in fashion and design. Nuno’s work is deeply influenced by African culture and history. And, as a resident of our Enso Flats community, his work has been a part of several shows at the building’s Enso Gallery. Through his shows at the gallery, he hopes to inspire kids from Africa to keep their history and culture alive through art, fashion, and music. Follow Nuno on Instagram, @blindxsoul, or visit him at shopblindsoul.com! #shopsmall #supportlocal #supportartists

Lots of organizations are doing amazing work within the areas where we develop! Today, we’re highlighting the amazing work of one such group, Apprentice Learning. Founded in 2012 to improve Boston’s high school graduates rates, Apprentice Learning partners with Boston Public Schools to support the transition from middle school by expanding students’ skills, social networks, and creating more opportunities to thrive. Over the years, our team has gotten involved by hosting workplace exploration experiences, most recently last summer for the City Summer Internship, a five-week paid internship where rising ninth-grade girls explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and other industries where women are underrepresented while building professional skills for success. Follow them to learn more about their mission, opportunities for youth this summer, and ways to support their efforts! #TFISpotlightSeries #FutureLeaders #CareerExploration #GratefulForEducators #CityofBoston #YouthEmployment #IgnitePurpose

Five year anniversary for Arlington Point, Trinity’s first project in #LawrenceMA! This #adaptive reuse site, located in the federally designated Arlington Mills #Historic District, transformed a vacant mill into 102 units of mixed-income rental housing, while remediating a Brownfields site. Initially constructed in 1919, the Van Brodie Mill, now Arlington Point, was originally home to a facility that manufactured yarn for wool and flannel products. By the 1950s, the Mill was operated by a different company that shifted production to food products, including packaged breakfast cereals and rations for the military. Arlington Point, serves residents with a broad range of incomes. Of the property’s 102 units, 16 are for very low-income households earning at or below 30% of the area median income (AMI), 67 for low-income families earning at or below 60% of AMI, and 19 for Workforce Housing units for households earning between 61% and 80% of AMI. The completed development contains a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes and beautiful amenity spaces for residents to enjoy. #affordablehousing #historicredevelopment #trinitymanagement #Multifamily #AffordableHousing #RealEstate #MixedIncomeHousing #MassHousing, #RedStoneEquityPartners #RBCCapitalMarkets #LawrenceMA

Two years ago, we unveiled William “GoodWill” Ellis’s magnificent “We Are Brownsville” mural that adorns our Van Dkye III building in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. Created to celebrate local Brownsville legends, Ellis said his hope is that black and brown children walk past this 60-foot tall mural every day, see it and say, ‘Wow this person looks like me.” With Caribbean ancestry, Ellis was born and raised in Brooklyn. He uses his love of community to create multi-sensory experiential art.
