In honor of today’s #VeteransDay holiday, we want to take a moment to recognize our nation’s veterans, who we are privileged to serve and support through our work with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the United States Department of Defense. And our support of veterans doesn’t stop there. A number of Tria employees have committed to mentoring veterans during their transition from military service to civilian careers through Tria’s new partnership with American Corporate Partners (ACP). Mentors tell us they find it incredibly rewarding to guide and advise veterans down successful career paths. 💪 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e8GhbNGi Thank you to all veterans for serving our nation. I am excited about the partnership with American Corporate Partners (ACP) to support veteran career transitions through mentorship here at Tria Federal (Tria) Call out to the #veterans in my network that would like to learn more about it. #PoweringPossible #Veterans #MilitarySpouses #CareerTransition #Mentoring #TriaFederal
As a company deeply embedded in supporting the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs, Tria Federal understands the unique value that veterans bring to the workforce. That's why we are excited to announce that we are teaming up with American Corporate Partners (ACP) to support veteran career transitions through one-on-one mentorship. 🚨🚨 Dozens of Tria employees will serve as mentors in ACP’s flagship mentoring program, which has helped more than 34,000 veterans transition to civilian careers since 2008. Post-9/11 veterans and active-duty military spouses receive customized, one-on-one mentorship from experienced professionals (like us!) over a 12-month period. “This partnership with ACP aligns perfectly with Tria’s commitment to supporting our nation’s veterans and their families,” says Mike Cosgrave, Tria’s COO and a Navy veteran. “By joining ACP’s network of more than 125 corporate partners, we’re strengthening our dedication to those who have served our country and helping them build meaningful civilian careers.” “We are thrilled to welcome Tria Federal to our community of corporate partners,” says Sidney E. Goodfriend, ACP Chairman. “Tria's expertise in technology and federal services will be invaluable to veterans seeking to transition into these high-demand sectors. Their commitment to this partnership demonstrates their dedication to supporting our nation’s veterans and military spouses.” Read the full press release here: https://lnkd.in/e8GhbNGi #PoweringPossible #Veterans #MilitarySpouses #CareerTransition #Mentoring #TriaFederal Tim Borchert Fabian Plath Katie Webb Gina Gallagher Brian Wagner, MBA Kirk Clear Terry Bjornsen Sean Vineyard Wendy DeCesare Matthew Peirce Scott Cammisa

A ransomware attack at a national clearinghouse earlier this year halted the processing of veterans’ medical claims, putting their access to healthcare in jeopardy. It was critical to quickly establish a new solution so that payments could continue to be processed while a long-term solution was being developed. ⏳ As a trusted advisor to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Tria Federal swiftly took action to help VA develop a safe and secure way to continue processing claims. Tria worked as part of a team led by King Street Technology Partners, LLC (KSTP), comprising Eleven09 LLC and SBG Technology Solutions, Inc., as well as major partners Guidehouse and IBM. In just two weeks after the attack occurred, the team established an interim process that seamlessly routed the claims to the Community Care Reimbursement System (CCRS), which Tria had custom-built for VA six years earlier. VA was then able to continue to pay third-party administrators without implementing complicated financial workarounds. “We helped VA deal with the data breach with minimal impact to claims payments and veterans’ access to care,” says Jay Lahiri, a senior Tria advisor. 👏🏽 Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/efGPGW5i #PoweringPossible #Veterans #VA #Claims #Ransomware Tim Borchert Mike Cosgrave Diana Ceban Katie Webb Sean Vineyard

We are proud to have supported the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in getting a new proposed rule published in the Federal Register – a milestone two years in the making. 🎉 The proposed federal rule would implement Section 716 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2023 and establish a Military Health System Modified Payment and Waiver Program (MHS MPWP). The MHS MPWP uses income-based scaled fees, catastrophic caps, and waivers to mitigate financial harm that may be caused by expensive medical bills. Each year, as many as 25,000 uninsured and underinsured civilians face steep medical debt after getting emergency care at Department of Defense (DoD) medical treatment facilities (MTFs). The MHS MPWP “represents a pivotal moment in healthcare accessibility” and “embodies the very essence of American values: compassion, fairness and support for those in need,” DoD official Seileen Mullen said at an October 1 White House event. Tria also supported DHA in fostering communication with stakeholders in DHA’s development of policies and procedures for Section 716 and the DoD’s electronic health record system. The rule is expected to become final and take effect in 2025. 👏 Kudos to Velanie Croley, who led the effort for Tria. Dylan Faires, MBA and Alex Ames were also key players. 👏 “Our work is important because we really are helping civilians,” Croley says. “We are making the emergency care received in DoD MTFs more affordable for civilians and implementing a plan to help mitigate the financial hardship that high-cost medical bills could place on them.” Making emergency care at MTFs more affordable to civilians has an added benefit for military doctors and nurses: it provides them with additional trauma cases which enhances their knowledge, skills, and abilities. 💡 #TriaFederal #MedicalDebtRelief #FederalRegister #PoweringPossible Don Borchert Chris Katkocin Tim Borchert Mike Cosgrave Diana Ceban Sean Vineyard

Growing up, Phalyssia Vinson believed that consulting was a cutthroat field, so she was relieved to find that Tria is not like that. “Everyone has been very supportive and willing to help. I feel like my manager is really in my corner and he wants me to succeed.” 🚀 Phalyssia (pronounced “Felicia”) has been praised for her leadership skills and ability to pivot on a dime in her role supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. 🤩 In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2-year-old daughter, taking short road trips and watching travel video logs.
